Local Students visit Sembmarine SLP
– 19th January 2016
On the 19th January Sembmarine SLP welcomed a group of 19 students from Lowestoft College who are studying towards an Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) Pre-Apprenticeship qualification.
Whilst on site the students were given a safety induction and an overview of our last project the Nexen Golden Eagle, LQ Bridge and Flare, our current project Dudgeon Offshore Sub-Station and our next project Culzean.
The students also had meetings with the Project Management and Engineering Manager and were able to see first-hand the transition from planning, engineering and the drawing office to the work being carried out on site.
Bob Beard, Employer Services Manager at Lowestoft College said: “The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have gained some brilliant information about current and future Sembmarine SLP projects.”
