More details
The MFP design was based on Sembmarine SLP’s successful development of the SeaHarvester/SeaPony patents using its exclusive licence from Seahorse Platform Partners Ltd of Houston and was adapted to provide a unique solution to challenging reservoir conditions. The Katy platform was complete at sail-away, enabling full communications start-up to the client’s Head Office within just six hours of installation.
Sembmarine SLP was the full EPC provider for topside, jacket and piles, offshore hook-up and commissioning. To alleviate problematic reservoir conditions, a high pressure water injection system was integrated into the system’s design, together with cost effective Multiphase Flow Metering.
Katy is the second helideck in the UK to be equipped with pioneering DIFFS – a revolutionary fire fighting system whereby multiple nozzles are installed flush to the deck which automatically extend and spray a pre-mixed solution of water and foam evenly in the case of a fire.
