More details
In 2014 / 2015 SLP undertook upgrade projects to the platform, these included destruct works to make space for future drilling operations, including the removal of a 35 tonne collection vessel and a 10 tonne separator.
Following an offshore dimensional survey and piping stress analysis review, a new gas flowline was fabricated and installed. Due to the weight changes on the platform a structural analysis for the whole platform topsides was carried out by SLP’s engineering group to confirm structural integrity.
SLP carried out the rig interface mechanical works including installation of the interface bridge link and grillage.
To ensure compliance with CAP 437 the helideck perimeter safety netting was redesigned, fabricated and installed.
The design, supply and installation of a weather proof junction box enclosure for the platform control system was carried out by SLP and due to the increased weight of the enclosures additional steel tubular bracings were installed to support the load, these were designed, fabricated, coated and installed by SLP.
All pipe work fabrication was carried out by SLP at its Lowestoft facility and the offshore element was managed by the offshore group.
