Platers

Sembmarine SLP Limited is a turnkey contractor providing engineering, project management and construction services to the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy industries.

 

The Role

We are looking to recruit Platers in the New Year for the construction of the Power Generation Module, Flare and two Bridge Links for the Maersk Oil Culzean project development in the North Sea. The role would be for roughly 6 months.

 

Key Attributes

A time served apprenticeship achieving the relevant Trade qualification

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent achievement of professional experience in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry

Be an effective communicator with good interpersonal

Be adaptable and supportive of other trade groups

Physically fit to be able to carry out duties

Time served as a Plater

 

Remuneration

37 hours per week + Overtime

07.30am – 16.00 pm Monday to Thursday

07.30am – 12.30 pm Friday

£16.05 per hour + Overtime rates

x 1.5 after 37 hours

x 1.33 nights

x 1.5 Saturdays

x 2 Sundays

Welders

Sembmarine SLP Limited is a turnkey contractor providing engineering, project management and construction services to the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy industries.

 

The Role

We are looking to recruit Coded Welders in the New Year for the construction of the Power Generation Module, Flare and two Bridge Links for the Maersk Oil Culzean project development in the North Sea. The role would be for roughly 6 months.

 

Key Attributes

Experience as a Welder in the offshore & renewable energy industries

Current 6GR / TKY & 6G certification for GSFCAW, SMAW and GMAW processes

GMAW Solid Wire and SMAW Root experience - preferred

Separate additional fillet weld certification in above processes - preferred

Availability to test if requested

Proactive attitude

Conscientious

A flexible approach to work

Additional GTAW piping certification (Carbon, Stainless & Duplex Steels) - preferred

Qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN-287-1 & ASME IX - preferred

 

 

Remuneration

37 hours per week + Overtime

07.30am – 16.00 pm Monday to Thursday

07.30am – 12.30 pm Friday

£16.35 per hour + Overtime rates

x 1.5 after 37 hours

Site Safety (HS&E) Advisor

Sembmarine SLP Limited is a turnkey contractor providing engineering, project management and construction services to the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy industries.

 

The Role

To take the responsibility of developing the Company's HS&E awareness culture by proactively promoting and coaching the Company's Supervision and Workforce.

 

Key Attributes

Monitoring and implementing the Company's HSE policies

Analyse risk and assist in the development and implementation of risk assessments, fire risk assessments etc

Develop and Manage Safety and Environmental Inspections / Tours in accordance with Company and project requirements

Carry out Site and Office HS&E inductions and training as appropriate

Accompanying Clients and external HS&E Auditors as the SLP Representative when required

Coaching Workforce on personal involvement in HSE improvements

Assist / coach supervision in preparation of incident reports

Prepare HSE update contribution to project weekly report

 

 

Qualifications, Education Requirements' & Key Competencies

 

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent

IOSH Managing Safely

Experienced in Behavioural Safety programmes

Experience in the offshore / petrochemical / renewable energy construction industry

An understanding and experience of LOLER regulations

Knowledge of Environmental systems

First Aid Certificate - desirable

 

 

Working hours 

 

38.25 hours per week + Overtime

 

Rumuneration

 

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + overtime rates
