Offshore Vacancies


Sembmarine SLP are interested in hearing from Offshore Personnel with experience in the following trades;


Riggers – OPITO/NVQ Level ¾ Rigging & Lifting Banksman/Slinger Level 1

Electricians – Compex

Platers – NVQ Level 3

Pipefitters – NVQ Level 3

Supervisors – NVQ Level 3/ C&G  in relevant trade and Supervisory experience

This is for an offshore project that is due to start in August 2016, mobilising from Great Yarmouth.

Please note that the following are essential for this position; Offshore Medical, BOSIET/FOET and GWO Working at Height (no other Working at height certs will be accepted)

Sembmarine SLP Limited is a turnkey contractor providing engineering, project management and construction services to the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy industries.


The Role

We are currently recruiting coded welders for the construction of the Power Generation Module, Flare and two Bridge Links for the Maersk Oil Culzean project development in the North Sea. The project build will provide work until 2018.


Key Attributes

Experience as a Welder in the offshore and renewable energy industries.

Current 6GR / TKY & 6G certification for GSFCAW, SMAW and GMAW processes.

GMAW Solid Wire and SMAW Root experience – preferred.

Separate additional fillet weld certification in above processes - preferred.

Availability to test if requested.

Proactive attitude.


A flexible approach to work.

Additional GTAW piping certification (Carbon, Stainless & Duplex Steels) – preferred.

Qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN-287-1 & ASME IX – preferred



37 hours per week + Overtime

07.30am – 16.00 pm Monday to Thursday

07.30am – 12.30 pm Friday

£16.35 per hour + Overtime rates

x 1.5 after 37 hours

x 1.33 nights

x 1.5 Saturdays

x 2 Sundays
